finally headin back home for more than 12 hours for the first time this year today.  shake that k’zoo feelin for a minute and be a weirdo in the suburbs.  looking forward to eating mum-cooked meals, stealing my dads beers, and roaming the weird town at night on foot or bicycle.

this song is so god damn good, cant get it outta my head.  mitch + alex + chris from vhaus.  dig on this if youre down with sentimental, melancholic early 90’s emo revival jams (for some reason this song reminds me a bit of bedhead).  seems as though all of the widr recordings except for “spaghetti policy” are panned to the left extremely.  oh well, cant wait for their tape!

this week there is a lot going on with a new project i am a part of with my buddies mitch and chris.  we started a three piece improv group including two synthesizers and a bass called SPECTRAL BEING.  

we have two exciting events going on this week.  firstly, on thursday, we are playing a show at the NO FUN HOUSE with a band by the name of BRITCHES.  really excited as this will be our debut show with a rad, noisy touring band.

friday!  we are playing a live 30 minute set on widr, a local kalamazoo radio station at 6pm EST.  here is a link to the live stream for widr.

on top of this, we also have an album coming out sometime this spring/summer through already dead tapes.  keep an eye out, come out to the show, or try to listen in!  it will be a special experience for sure.

so i went to throw the frisbee earlier at davis field and road my bike there. when done, i realized i had totally forgotten my combination since i hadnt used it since november. after getting a hold of a bolt cutter and trying to liberate my bike, an onlooker came up and asked me if it was mine, then walked off. 5 minutes later i had the police on me regarding my “stolen bike.” of course, since it was mine (plus, who would want to steal a beat up continental?), i got it back. but good looking out vine neighborhood! im glad people keep an eye out for one another instead trying to ignore it since its not your problem.
