The 1980 album (recorded 1974-1977) that used Bell Laboratories GROOVE system, a live input, computer music tool developed by Max Matthews and F.R.Moore is now a newly remastered collection (by Spiegal herself). The reissue contains the 4 tracks of the original LP plus 15 unreleased tracks from the same sessions.

starting to pack up handful of little things for the move near the end of july as i dont want to try and take care of all of it within the last week or so of the lease. then biking the northern section of the kalamazoo river valley trail with mitch at a time unbeknownst to both of us.

not sure what else today holds other than tim tapper and the terribles set tonight at milhouse!

feelin good today, ignoring the fact that my truck is getting my rear brake shoes replaced. although that is good because i am going to traverse city to visit one of my good buds from cmu this coming weekend, so i need a functional car.

not sure what im going to do today but i sure have a lot of time now that im up this early!

Learned audience, to take refuge in a true buddha is to take refuge in our own essence of mind. He who does so should remove from his essence of mind the evil mind, the jealous mind, the flattering and crooked mind, egotism, deceit and falsehood, contemptuousness, snobbishness, fallacious views, arrogance, and all other evils that may arise at any time. To take refuge in ourself is to be constantly on the alert of our own mistakes, and to refrain from criticism of others’ merits or faults. He who is humble and meek on all occasions and is polite to everybody has thoroughly realized his essence of mind, so thoroughly that his path is free from further obstacles. just started doing timed zazen meditations to strengthen my stamina for unfocused focus. its always been hard for me to stay in an out-of-body thought function, keeping my mind distant from my physical self for extended amounts of time. setting an alarm for any amount of time in the future is good in that respect as it trains the mind to stop worrying about how long ive been sitting for so it may relax and absorb, as the alarm will come when it needs to.

hoping to build up to somewhere near an hour of straight meditation by the end of the summer.

spectral being just got added to the bill! and i believe i will still be jamming with the forget the times infinite family arkestra as well.

sean and josh are definitely doing great things with this label and being able to curate such a righteous three day affair is a statement that such a scene is not, in fact, already dead. with sets by many talented artists that cover a wide spectrum of experimental sounds, you would be a fool to miss out on such an experience.
